The Township of North Huron (the “Township”) invites qualified proponents to submit proposals for the supply and delivery of two (2) dry-pit chopper/grinding pumps and associated cable assemblies for municipal wastewater operations. 

The Township seeks reliable, heavy-duty equipment suitable for pumping wastewater containing solids rags, fibrous material, and debris. Proponents must provide complete equipment, documentation, warranty coverage, delivery, and optional commissioning/start-up support as described in this Request for Proposals (“RFP”). 

The Township intends to award to the proponent offering the best overall value, considering compliance with mandatory requirements, technical suitability, lifestyle value, warranty, delivery, service support, and price.

The lowest price will not necessarily be awarded this project. 

The objectives of this procurement are to:

1. Replace or procure operationally compatible wastewater pumping equipment;
2. Obtain chopper/grinding pump equipment capable of reducing clogging associated with solids and fibrous wastewater materials; 
3. Secure a minimum five-year full equipment warranty;
4. Obtain dependable local or regional technical warranty support;
5. Ensure delivery to the Township within a confirmed and reasonable lead time; and,
6. Obtain competitive pricing that includes all freight and delivery charges.
